e. The writing section
At UW, the writing section is one of the selection procedures. So they consider the college essay to understand the person beyond their grades and scores. Some of the most effective essays share personal stories. It’s best to keep your writing concise and clear, usually around 300-400 words. Remember, you must answer the UW essay questions within our application, including the Common App, as we don’t review the Common App essay.
