I made a smartwatch using a micro-bit for all ages. I would recommend the smart watch to lazy people, or people that don’t walk or run a lot. My watch will tell how many steps you walked, using a variable. It will also tell when you stop walking, so that it can refresh the step count. However, don’t think that one walk a day keeps the doctor away because my smartwatch will remind you every 30 mins to walk or run. Studies show that every 30 – 60 mins you should be walking for 3 min. So my smart watch will also measure 3 mins to tell you when you can go back to work. Walking is on default, but if you press button b, it will take you running. It will measure your step count, the distance you ran for, the speed, and how long it took you. It will also remind you to take a run , every 30- 60 minutes and run for about 3 min. It will also tell you when you stop running, to reset the amount you ran for. The way I figure out the time is that I store the steps in a variable. Studies show that 160 steps while running is equal to about a minute. So every time that they take 160 steps, it gets stored as a minute. The way I figure out the distance is because I ask the user for input, “How much distance will you be traveling?” The way I figure out the speed is by dividing the time and the distance. So, what do you think? Do you think you could gift my watch to anyone you know?
