Elynn, a young innovator, has got the opportunity to exhibit “It’s the Ripe Time for Harvest!”, her creation, to a live audience of 1500, including world-class entrepreneurs, leaders, and investors at the upcoming MoonBattle Conference 2024 in Milpitas. She will showcase “It’s the Ripe Time for Harvest!” in the Show and Tell Competition.

This project uses a simple circuit with an LDR to determine the ripeness of color-changing produce.

Tools used
My project will by using the arduino UNO, ELB and LDR.
Working demonstration
By utilizing an LED of the same color as the ripe produce, calibrating the code, and after the LDR detects the readings of the reflected light from the produce, the Serial Monitor (or LCD of the ELB) should be able to read out whether or not the produce is ripe. This project aims to help avoid food waste by detecting produce’s ripeness and notifying the farmers or store owners so that produce will always be ripe when reaching the market.
