Moonpreneur Nurturing a Generation of Entrepreneurs in Rural India Under ELDP
Unicorns. Startups. Innovators. Disruptive Innovators. Entrepreneurs. They are not mere words, but reality. A reality that Moonpreneur is endorsing by nurturing the next wave of entrepreneurs under its Entrepreneurship and Leadership Development Program (ELDP) across the world.
The Silicon Valley-based startup is approaching underutilized talents in the rural and suburban areas through ELDP and introducing them to the innovation-driven economy across the globe.
Why do we need ELDP?
The fourth revolution, also known as 4.0, scripted a tech-based world that demands a new set of skills and mindsets, and critical thinking and problem-solving top the list. In this changed scenario, entrepreneurs are the sought-after community, as they are not just driving the change but also boosting economic development and creating employment opportunities. Therefore, it becomes essential for Generation Z to pick up the right skill sets.
This led to the inception of Moonpreneur with an aim of disrupting the traditional learning system, and providing a bespoke learning platform. A hub of skills and knowledge.
Benefits of ELDP
The program is creating waves because it has plenty to offer to young adults. ELDP enables you to:
- Learn the fundamentals of entrepreneurship and leadership from seasoned educators and global business leaders
- Access to quality mentorship from industry experts and mentors across the globe
- Pitch your ideas to global industry leaders
- Tap stellar career and employment opportunities
- Receive a certificate of participation/completion from Moonpreneur
- Internship/employment opportunities
- Build a strong resume for higher studies in global universities
What sets ELDP apart is that it believes in hands-on learning. It provides an umbrella of knowledge and skills where children can upskill themselves through learning by doing. The practical learning sharpens their entrepreneurial and innovative mindset and prepares them for a stellar career.
ELDP footprints in Indian sub-continent
ELDP is spreading its footprints on the Indian sub-continent. Considering the fertile startup landscape of India that has made it the third-largest startup ecosystem in the world, foraying into the land of opportunities turned out to be the best move for us.
We are doing our bit for the nation by fostering entrepreneurial and leadership skills in children and so far we have completed the ELDP program in partnership with premier institutes in Andhra Pradesh – the Isha Vidhya, which is providing high-quality education to young learners from a marginal background, the Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT), Sri Venkateswara University, and Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam.
We also tied up with incubation centers of pioneering management schools of the country, such as the Indian Institute of Management – Visakhapatnam (IIM-V) FiELD and the IIM Kozhikode LIVE, to make ELDP accessible and affordable to all.
Our initiative has yielded an overwhelming response as we have trained about 1,000 students. Currently, we are finalizing ideas for incubation at IIMV FIELD, the Incubation and Startup Hub of IIM Visakhapatnam.
ELDP’s footprint is constantly growing in the region. For instance, we have joined hands with IIM Lucknow and IIT Roorkee and sealed the deal by signing on the dotted lines.
Going forward, one will witness more tie-ups in various parts of the country.
Alliances and Partnerships
Moonpreneur is constantly looking for like-minded allies and partners to take ELDP far and wide and one of our partners who is strengthening our ELDP India operations is Day Veerlapati, the CEO & President of S2Tech.
Day helped to augment ELDP across universities in Andhra Pradesh. He not just helped in paving the way for the program but also sponsored the program that we carried in partnership with universities such as Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies, Isha Vidhya, Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam, etc.
Day extended his support to our collaboration with the IIM-V FiELD and the IIM Kozhikode LIVE.
Day’s inspiring journey could be an example for many. A man from a humble background, he has built a global IT company with its headquarters in Chesterfield, Missouri, and an offshore development center in Hyderabad, India. He founded the nonprofit Fortune Fund, which operates in the US and India, and provides scholarships and support for rural school children.
We also tied up with TiE Dallas and hosted a 15-week Entrepreneurship and Leadership Development Program called TYE 2022 with them.
The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) Global is a nonprofit organization devoted to entrepreneurs in all industries, at all stages, from incubation throughout the entrepreneurial life cycle. A group of successful entrepreneurs, corporate executives, and senior professionals with roots in the Indus region founded TiE in 1992 in Silicon Valley.
