VENUE: Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas
This year-round tournament, designed for students in Grades 4-12, takes place at regional, state, and national levels, culminating in the VEX Robotics World Championship every April. Recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's largest robotics competition, it is based on the philosophy that all students are natural scientists and engineers, curious and creative.
The competition fosters innovation, with 95% of participants reporting an increased interest in STEM subjects and pursuing STEM-related careers.
The annual competition makes a comeback after a five-year hiatus, featuring three submission categories: Open, College, and High School. Researchers, hobbyists, undergraduates, high school students, and makers from all skill levels around the globe are invited to participate in the competition.
Submissions are now open, and participants have the chance to win prizes for their outstanding entries.
The competition is based on the theme – EMPOWER THE PLANET. Open for 8-15 years, it combines the thrill of robotics with the rigors of leadership and technology, with the goal of coming up with the most inventive concepts connected to the environment.
DATE: Submissions will be accepted starting July 10th and remain open until October 31st.
VENUE: Online Submission
The competition, organized by the international youth organization Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology, is an annual event catering to Grades 9-12 (ages 14 to 18). This competition provides valuable opportunities in the fields of science, engineering, and technology.
The event begins with the Kickoff event, followed by a limited timeframe for participating teams to construct and program a robot for the game, using a kit of parts supplied by FIRST and adhering to standard rules.
BEST (Boosting Engineering Science & Technology) Competition is open to Middle and High School students across the US. Each school can have one participating team, with no restrictions on team size or student age. The competition allows students to solve an industry problem and create a robotic product, offering both virtual and in-person participation options.
Dedicated professional engineers and teachers volunteer to guide the middle and high school teams through the engineering design process.
DATE: The mega event takes place in May
