\r\n Have you ever noticed that in math, you can sometimes switch numbers around and get the same answer? Or group them differently without changing the result? That is not a coincidence\u2014it happens because of properties of whole numbers<\/strong>.\r\n <\/p>\r\n\r\n

\r\n The five commonly taught properties are closure, commutative, associative, distributive, and identity<\/strong>. \r\n Does the result stay within the whole numbers?<\/strong>\r\n <\/p>\r\n\r\n

\r\n Whole numbers are closed under addition and multiplication<\/strong>.
\r\n For example:\r\n <\/p>\r\n\r\n
