Around 300 BCE, Euclid introduced &#8220;number properties&#8221;. He realized that numbers have special rules that govern how they behave and interact with each other. Euclid&#8217;s discoveries laid the foundation for understanding numerous concepts of mathematics.<\/span><\/p><h3><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><b>What are the Number Properties?<\/b><\/span><\/h3><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Number properties are special rules that describe how numbers behave when we add, subtract, multiply, or divide them. These rules help us understand and work with numbers more easily.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The number property serves as a guiding principle that ensures consistency and predictability in mathematical calculations with which we can confidently manipulate numbers, knowing how they will respond to various operations.<\/span><\/p><h4><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>There are 4 types of number properties:<\/strong><\/span><\/h4><ul><li aria-level=\"1\"><h5><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><b>Commutative Property<\/b><\/span><\/h5><\/li><\/ul><ul><li aria-level=\"1\"><h5><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><b>Associative Property<\/b><\/span><\/h5><\/li><\/ul><ul><li aria-level=\"1\"><h5><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><b>Distributive Property<\/b><\/span><\/h5><\/li><\/ul><ul><li aria-level=\"1\"><h5><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><b>Identity Property<\/b><\/span><\/h5><\/li><\/ul><h3><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><b>1. Commutative Property:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/h3><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Commutative Property: Changing the order of the values\/terms does not change the result.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This property tells us that the order in which we add or multiply numbers doesn&#8217;t affect the result.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Imagine you&#8217;re playing with colorful blocks. Distributive Property:\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/h3><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The distributive property says that when you multiply a number by the sum of two or more addends, the product is the same as the result of the multiplication of the number by each addend individually and then adding the products.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This property specifies that multiplication distributes over addition.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now, imagine you have a bunch of toys to share with your friends.
