Vedic Mathematics<\/span><\/a>, an ancient system of mathematical techniques and principles originating from India thousands of years ago, continues to amaze Mathematicians and kids alike with its efficiency and practicality. At the core of Vedic Mathematics lies a collection of concise and unique statements known as <\/span>Sutras<\/span><\/a>, designed to offer swift and practical solutions to complex <\/span>mathematical problems<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Among these 16 great sutras, “Sopantyadvayamantyam” is an interesting one.<\/span><\/p>

Equations of the following type can be solved using this Sutra:<\/span><\/p>

1\/ xy + 1\/xz = 1\/xa + 1\/yz<\/span><\/p>

where x, y, z and a are in arithmetic progression,<\/span><\/p>

y = x + d<\/span><\/p>

z = x + 2e<\/span><\/p>

d = x + 3e<\/span><\/p>

The solution for such equations is 2z + a = 0.<\/span><\/p>

For Example<\/b><\/h4>

1\/ (y+1)(y+2) + 1\/ (y +1)(y+3) = 1\/ (y+1)(y + 4) + 1\/ (y+2)(y+3)<\/span><\/p>

Now according to the above Sutra, the solution would be:<\/span><\/p>

2(y +3) + (y+4) = 0<\/span><\/p>

2y +6+y+4 = 0<\/span><\/p>

3y + 10 = 0<\/span><\/p>

y = -10\/3<\/span><\/p>
