While some people like the challenge of solving tricky equations, others need help understanding their complexities. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/moonpreneur.com\/blog\/vedic-math-for-kids\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Vedic Maths<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a methodology drawn from the Vedas, ancient Indian texts, offers a unique way of problem-solving in mathematics.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The &#8216;<strong>Sesanyankena Caramena Sutra<\/strong>&#8216; stands out among its numerous <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/moonpreneur.com\/blog\/16-sutras-of-vedic-math\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">sutras<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (aphorisms) for its effectiveness and simplicity.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We&#8217;ll examine this sutra by going through an example: <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Express 1\/7 as a decimal<\/span><\/p><p>1. Add &#8216;zero&#8217; to the numerator, which makes 1 as 10<\/p><p>2. If the numerator is less than the denominator, add another &#8216;zero&#8217;; else, proceed as follows.<\/p><p>3. Divide : (10)\/7 = 1 remainder 3<\/p><p>4. Adding zero to the remainder (since it is less than the denominator), we divide as (30)\/7= 4 remainders 2<\/p><p>5. We continue taking the remainder the following the steps from the start as follows :<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0(20) \/7 = 2 remainder 6<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0(60) \/7 = 8 remainder 4<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0(40) \/7 = 5 remainder 5<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0(50) \/7 = 7 remainder 1<\/span><\/p><p>6. Now note that the remainder is &#8216;1&#8217;, the same as the numerator &#8216;1&#8217;.This means we would get the repetition of the answers again and again. So we will stop here.<\/p><p>7. Using the numbers(remainders) 3,2,6,4,5,1 got above, we multiply them with the denominator &#8216;7&#8217;,<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">7 x 3 = 2 1<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">7 x 2 = 1 4<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">7 x 6 = 4 2<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">7 x 4 = 2 8<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">7 x 5 = 3 5<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">7 x 1 = 7<\/span><\/p><p>8. Now we take the red shaded numbers from the above steps as sequence,142857 (which would be our final Result)<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Therefore, Result (1\/7) = <\/span>0.142857142857<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With its wealth of sutras, Vedic mathematics provides many techniques for simplifying mathematical <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/moonpreneur.com\/blog\/mental-math-calculation-techniques-for-kids\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">calculations<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
