[Video] Introducing Home Automation For Kids
Remember how Tony Stark controlled everything in his home with the help of the fictional character Jarvis, the loyal household butler of the Stark family, in the Sci-Fi action movie Iron Man? Jarvis is not fiction anymore! Home Automation, a fast-evolving technology, is becoming a reality. Some of the popular Artificial Intelligence-powered Home Automation assistants are Alexa, Siri, Google Assistant, and Bixby.
The following video shows how instructors at Moonpreneur ensure kids learn the basics of Home Automation in the easiest and simplistic way.
The class commences with a detailed explanation of Home Automation and the extent to which a home can become smart enough to function without no human interference. Our instructor explains the components a smart home requires for controlling the lighting, indoor climate, entertainment systems, and security systems through efficient hardware communication and digital interfaces using the internet.
A smart home system offers many benefits, such as energy-saving, the convenience of effectively controlling gadgets and switches through voice commands, remote access to home devices, and improved safety and security systems to prevent any untoward incidents.
Our instructor also explains that there are three types of Home Automation: Powerline, Wired, and Wireless. Each one has specific requirements and they are there to make human lives easier.
An explanation of how Home Automation devices can be created using the Arduino Board follows this. After that, children get a demonstration of the step-by-step creation of a burglar alarm, created using an Arduino board.
